ABOUT THE PROJECT: For 50 years, TreePeople has worked to inspire, engage, and support more than 3 million people to take action for the environment by planting and caring for trees in forests, mountains, parks, and our neighborhoods. TreePeople is the largest environmental movement in Southern California. Their fun, engaging, and proven model empowers communities to plant a more resilient future and take personal responsibility for greening their neighborhoods. Through their on-the-ground research and multilingual educational programs, TreePeople shares knowledge with policymakers, students, educators, and people around the world.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Eric Wilson spent 20 years in education and consulted with schools to integrate sustainability into their programs. He previously served as Director of Sustainability at a charter management organization in Los Angeles.
