ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: Founding Partner/Shout! Studios (now Radial Entertainment),

Richard Foos began his career with a small record store on Santa Monica Boulevard, which grew into Rhino Records—one of the most influential reissue labels in music history. Alongside Harold Bronson, Foos helped pioneer “reissue culture,” reviving both hit records and overlooked genres like garage rock and soul for new audiences. Rhino became known not just for its catalog, but for its elaborate, collectible packaging, transforming music releases into immersive fan experiences. After Rhino was acquired by Time Warner in 1998, Foos stayed on until 2002 before co-founding Shout! Factory, which applied the same high-quality, fan-focused approach to television and film, releasing definitive editions of cult favorite shows.
