JOIN US for an exclusive experience breakfast at Gary Baseman's Off the Menu, located in historic Johnie's Coffee Shop Restaurant in the heart of Miracle Mile.

Coffee, Juice, and Pastries will be provided.

Gary Baseman's current body of work, displayed in this classic diner, is comprised of drawings completed during the course of a meal at historic Los Angeles establishments. Many of these drawings are done on the menus of the various locations. His sketchbook drawings have been reproduced on placemats that you can see when seated at many of the restaurant's booths.

Baseman was born and raised in the Miracle Mile neighborhood, and his mother worked at Canter's Deli for 35 years - which gives insight to his strong connection with Los Angeles diner culture. Baseman has dubbed this exhibition his love letter to Los Angeles.
