ABOUT THE SPEAKER: George Geary is the author of 15 cookbooks and historical California food books. George has taught cooking classes from coast to coast and on every continent. He's traveled to 119 countries, teaching and lecturing about culinary history and foods. For the past 32 seasons, George has taken groups to the South of France, Belgium, and Italy on food excursions, besides day trips around the southland. Currently, you can see George cooking on local morning shows with his home stations of FOX5-San Diego, WGN-TV Chicago, and NBC-Tampa. One of George’s hobbies is to read historical plaques on buildings and venues around the world, like the one he obtained for the original See’s Candy Kitchen and Store on Western Avenue.
