ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: Author/Illustrator and theatre preservationist Escott O. Norton will offer an interactive presentation about the historic theatres that have inspired his original coloring books. He’ll show a variety of theatre styles, and how color and detail make these beautiful structures so important (and so much fun to color!). Attendees will have a chance to experiment with coloring samples from his books, with all materials provided. Escott’s coloring books will also be offered for sale with a discount for members!
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: From an early age, Escott Norton was constantly designing and drawing, and was specifically attracted to the historic theatres of Los Angeles, going to the Eagle, the Rialto, the Chinese, Cinerama Dome, and other historic theatres. He founded Friends of the Rialto in 1983 to advocate for the South Pasadena landmark's protection, and was a charter member of the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation, an organization…
