LABC Celebrates Valentine’s Day with Hotel Kitsch!

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: This Valentine's Day, experience a visual journey through theme hotels and fantasy suites across America. From the kitschy and colorful Madonna Inn to the romantic honeymoon hotels of the Poconos, Margaret and Corey Bienert will uncover the history of these charming getaways and discuss where they fit into society today. 

So, break out your cardboard mailboxes & bring enough Sweethearts & cards for the whole class (or, if you'd like, a dozen to exchange with your tablemates!) -- it’s time to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your favorite Ham & Eggers!

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS: Margaret and Corey Bienert are the couple behind A Pretty Cool Hotel Tour, a travel series exploring themed rooms and adults-only hotels in the US and abroad. Since starting the project in 2018, they've gained nearly 2 million followers and have been featured in major media outlets including Condé Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, Elle, New York Post, Vogue Australia and HuffPost. In 2023 they released their first book Hotel Kitsch: A Pretty Cool Tour of America's Fantasy Getaways which is a collection of their favorite retro, romance-themed hotels across the US. When they’re not on the road, Margaret and Corey split their time between Los Angeles and southwest Michigan.

ABOUT THE CLUB: Founded in 1925, the Los Angeles Breakfast Club still thrives with food, friendship, and fun. Our meetings are held in our clubhouse, Friendship Auditorium, located at 3201 Riverside Drive, near the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard, in Griffith Park. Best described as a variety show, attendees enjoy a catered breakfast, silly songs, club traditions, and an interesting presentation from a guest speaker.

TICKETS: Sales on labreakfastclub.com close 48 hours before breakfast. Non-members are $25 and Members receive a 25% discount when logged into their Membership Portal.

Please arrive between 6:45 - 7:00 AM sharp! Doors close at 7:15 AM. Your admission includes a buffet breakfast, enjoyment of our 98-year-old club traditions, plus a special presentation from our Speaker of the Week!
