ABOUT THE BOOK: For more than 25 years, Adolfo Guzman-Lopez has interviewed people about and reported on L.A. politics, arts and culture, and immigration for LAist. But there were many moments that didn't make it into his news reports. So after hours he took those remnants and turned them into poetry and prose. He will read from and give the backstory to these pieces from his new writing collection, California Southern: writing from the road, 1992-2025.
