About the event
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Artist, curator, and archivist Suzanne Zoe Joskow will be discussing her ongoing project The Community Cookbook Archive. Comprised of nearly 400 LA-based community cookbooks that span 3 centuries, the Archive is an evolving, food-based tapestry of Los Angeles stories. During a time of year when many gather around the table to share food traditions, Joskow will offer a glimpse into historic recipes from local communities - ranging from the use of indigionous plants to recipes meant to conjure a faraway home. She also invites attendees to come ready to share their food memories as well!
ABOUT THE CLUB: Founded in 1925, the Los Angeles Breakfast Club still thrives with food, friendship, and fun. Our meetings are held in our clubhouse, Friendship Auditorium, located at 3201 Riverside Drive, near the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard, in Griffith Park.
