About the event
ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: The mission of the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House is to provide comfort, care, and support to families with critically ill and injured children. Founded in 1977, the House provides free temporary housing for 75 families each night and all the amenities of a typical home, including a room, communal kitchen, and laundry rooms, plus onsite psychosocial services and most importantly, a sense of community – the antidote to stress, isolation, and anxiety. Join Director of Development & Communications, Brian Rosenbaum, to learn more about LARMH’s mission, program, and ways you can get involved.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Brian Rosenbaum, MSW is a Southern California native with 18 years of US and international nonprofit experience. He currently serves as Director of Development & Communications at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House, where he leads the team responsible for fundraising, strategic and community partnerships, marketing and communications, and volunteerism. His previous organizations include Imagine LA, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, and Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Brian earned his BA in Psychology and Spanish at UCLA and his Master of Social Work at Columbia University. In his spare time, Brian can be found cooking, gardening, or exploring LA with his wife and two young children.
AND WE'RE HAVING A SUPPLIES DRIVE!: Bring laundry pods and dish soap and we'll donate them to the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. With 200+ guests staying at their house every night, they do a lot of laundry and wash a lot of plates!
