About the event
ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: Beekeeper Phoebe Piper will give The LABC an introduction to bees and other pollinators, tips on how to help pollinators in your own backyard, and advice for anyone looking to start beekeeping.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Phoebe Piper is a Certified Master Beekeeper and owner of the Los Angeles based beekeeping company, The Hive Tribe Beekeeping. Together with her team, she cares for over 100 hives in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Phoebe came into beekeeping with a background in animal husbandry and instantly fell in love with bees and the impact they have on the environment. She loves sharing her passion with others as a way to foster interest in the small, often overlooked ecosystems in our own backyards.
ABOUT THE CLUB: Founded in 1925, the Los Angeles Breakfast Club still thrives with food, friendship, and fun. Our meetings are held in our clubhouse, Friendship Auditorium, located at 3201 Riverside Drive, near the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard, in Griffith Park. Best described as a variety show, attendees enjoy a catered breakfast, silly songs, club traditions, and an interesting presentation from a guest speaker.
